Smart Transportation

Smart transportation systems are inherently linked to the analysis of data gathered through AIoT technologies.
The image quality captured by network surveillance cameras plays a crucial role in determining the accuracy of such analyses. While many assume that high resolution cameras always yield superior image quality, this is not necessarily the case. Even in two million-pixel camera views, factors such as noise and light can impact the final image quality depending on the camera's own processing capabilities. As such, it is vital to consider not just resolution, but also the camera's image processing capabilities when selecting surveillance equipment for intelligent transportation systems.

Unpredictable and unstable outdoor lighting is a common challenge in intelligent transportation systems. Inconsistent light capture and processing by surveillance cameras can lead to overexposed images and obscured details. This can greatly affect license plate recognition, even with high resolution cameras. Thus, stable and reliable surveillance equipment is essential for effective intelligent transportation systems.
